Budget Tutors

Work with partner families in teaching basic money management. Classes are held in the evening

+*Childcare

Work with our Women For Habitat Committee to help alleviate the burden on our partner families to pay for childcare while attending their home ownership classes by providing quality childcare for a few hours on a weeknight.

*Church Relations Committee

Invites, speaks and encourages congregations to participate in Habitat’s housing ministry

*+Coffee Club Provider

Help get everyone off to the job site on Saturday with a little pick-me-up and a chance to socialize! Provide coffee and pastries from 7am-8am on a Saturday. 

*Construction Volunteer

Volunteer on a job site to help build a home with a partner family. No experience or construction skills necessary.

Construction Delivery Crew

Provide critical assistance to our build sites by transporting supplies and tools from our Construction Center, picking up items from suppliers as needed. Drivers are needed. Someone on the delivery crew is needed each day of the week.

Requested Commitment: one day a week for six months.

Construction Warehouse Crew

Help us keep the Construction tools and supplies organized and clean. Someone on the warehouse crew is needed each day of the week.

Requested Commitment: one day a week for six months.

Development Committee

Locates and develops the resources Habitat needs to build houses.  It raises funds, solicits in-kind donations, and facilitates special events

Drywall Crew

Install drywall in our houses, both one and two stories. This is a specialty crew and is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Two crews: Thursday or Saturday.

Electrical Crew

Licensed electricians volunteer to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays to complete whole house wiring

Family Advocates Committee

Works as a liaison between partner families and Habitat.  Members assist families in their transition from renter to homeowner.  Committee members recruit and train family advocates, coordinate ground blessing and house dedication ceremonies and organize homeowner skills workshops

Family Selection Committee

Establishes eligibility criteria, screens applications, makes home visits, and recommends qualified families to Habitat’s Board of Directors for approval

Finance Committee

Responsible for accurate and timely accounting of Habitat’s transactions, audits, reports, grant proposal budgets, and annual budget

Framing Crew

Operate heavy machinery, dig footers, pour concrete for porches and sidewalks. Three crews: Wednesday, Thursday or Friday

Historian

Help us to celebrate our 25th Anniversary by creating a written history.

Landscape Crew

Operate heavy machinery to grade lots. Plant shrubs and flowers to beautify landscape in preparation for dedication.

Paint Crew

Paints walls, ceilings and finish trim. Also does caulking of finish trim before painting. This is a specialty crew and is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Two crews: Monday or Friday.

*Photographer

Partner with a family during the construction of their home to create a photo album of memories to cherish. Must have personal camera equipment. 

Requested Commitment: 2 days per month for 3 months

Rehab Demolition Crew

Habitat is now rehabbing houses. But before they can be rebuilt, they must be stripped to the studs. This crew is a specialty crew and is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Two crews: Thursday or Friday.

Rehab Rebuild Crew

Habitat is now rehabbing houses.  Old houses can get a new lease on life through the efforts of our rehab crew, who work one day a week.

*ReStore Customer Service

Restore Customer Service volunteers help us create an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers

ReStore DeConstruction Crew

Help us dismantle buildings, take apart decks, and strip-out kitchens...all to save the usable materials from the landfill, which are sold in the ReStore, and create an income for Habitat

*ReStore Warehouse Crew

Help us clean, fix, price, and process donations as they come into our warehouse, to be sold in our ReStore

*+Saturday Lunch Providers

Help us to nourish our volunteers on Saturday by providing a simple and nutritious lunch -  warm in the winter, refreshing in the summer. 

Siding Crew

Install siding on the exterior of the houses. This is a specialty crew and is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Two crews: Wednesday or Saturday.

*Site Hosts

For those who love being on a construction site, but don’t want to swing a hammer, this job is for you! Be on site for 1-2 hours in the morning to welcome volunteers, collect waivers, pass out name tags, talk about Habitat and introduce the House leader. 

Site Selection Committee

Identifies and acquires properties for Habitat construction at the lowest possible cost and investigates various neighborhoods for possible home sites

Trim Crew

This is a specialty crew that installs kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, interior trim. Two crews: Wednesday or Thursday

Whole House Crew

Volunteers work one or two days a week to complete a house from start to finish

Women for Habitat Committee

Promotes the involvement of women in the sponsorship and construction of Habitat houses.  Women-built projects provide an opportunity for women to learn construction in a supportive environment, fund raise for a good cause and provide homeownership opportunities to people in need
